Review details

The Vent Axia PureAir Home Filtration PIV Unit is an excellent product for anyone who wants to eliminate condensation and mould issues in their home. The product is easy to install and set up, and it comes with variable speed control, which makes it effective in a property up to 150m2. The summer bypass feature ensures that warm air does not get back into the house during the summer.

Noise level and filtration

The PureAir Home unit also filters incoming air (G4 or F7 filter effective down to PM2.5 particles), improving indoor air quality and quickly eradicating conditions that lead to mould growth and associated health issues. The product is very quiet (35dB), emitting only a low humming sound that is not noticeable, even when you are standing close to the vent. It is discreetly installed and out of sight, out of mind. The PIV Unit also comes with anti-vibration legs. These legs help to reduce noise and vibration during operation, making the unit even quieter and less obtrusive.

No heater

The unit does not heat the air, so for heated air, you would need to opt for a different model. It also requires a ventilated loft space for correct installation. If you do not have a loft space, Vent-Axia offers internal surface mounted versions that you can use.

Users Reviews

I live in three-bedroom bungalow in Scotland and I was struggling with window condensation and unpleasant cooking smells. After hearing about the Vent Axia PureAir Home Filtration PIV Unit, I decided to take the plunge and install it in my loft space. Luckily, my loft is ventilated, and my double glazing has trickle vents, which I believe is crucial for the unit’s proper installation.

Since installing the PureAir Home PIV Unit, I have noticed a significant improvement in my home’s air quality. The unit has effectively eliminated window condensation, making my house cooler and fresher during the summer months. Cooking smells that used to spread throughout the house are no longer an issue, and my home now has a pleasant aroma. I opted for the non-heated version, as I wanted to see how it would perform during the winter season. However, I am confident that it will perform just as well, and I even have the option to retrofit a heater if needed.

Summary and running cost

Overall, customers are very happy with the product. It has helped to eliminate condensation and mould issues in their homes, and the air feels fresher and clearer. Windows no longer steam up in the morning, and cooking smells do not spread throughout the house like they used to. The product is also cost-effective, costing only £5 per year to run for a 3-bed house, and it comes with a 5-year maintenance-free warranty.
